MISSING HORSES GROTON, NH We just became aware of a situation that we wanted to pass along. Friday
(5/21/10) a husband and wife were involved in a trail riding accident in Groton, NH which resulted in their two Paso Finos getting loose. The horses escaped in the area of Sculptured Rocks. The two missing Paso Finos are approximately 13 hands high, one is Bay and the other is Chestnut, and both were fully tacked at the time of the accident. Despite intensive searching these two horses have not been found. If you have seen or heard anything or for more information please contact Cindy at 603-744-5186. You can also contact either cowgirl@americancowboysupply.com or at 1-866-530-9870 and we will pass along any information you have.

Last Saturday night we had both Gymkhana night AND a camera!
So we got some photos!!!
It is easier if you go look at the set. I am sorry for the blurriness but it got dark and anything that was moving came out blurry. It is only in some of the photos, more towards the end.
So go here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gracefulshrimp/sets/72157623842919682/ and see some Steeldust Riders!!!

How did Marshall get so big? How is he ALREADY TWO YEARS OLD????
Sammie got to be our guinea pig because she has a seat of glue and got to be Marshall’s first rider!!! He has been getting in trouble because he wants to DO SOMETHING, so we decided, lets see how it goes! He had been bitted earlier and loved it, so we have slowly been progressing and yeah, he got to be ridden!!! AND! He was great! totally low-key, responsive and inquisitive. Nothing nasty or anything like that. Here are the photos from Jennifer’s cell phone.

Rein is long in this photo because Tom is in control on the other side. Not terribly clear though because of his blonde hair with the yellow dirt background!

You can click on any of those photos to be taken to my flickr where you can see them bigger.

We got a new horse!!! King Philip is beyond fabulous. We are working out his kinks and yeah, wow…. I am trying to think of another word for him but no… just wow.
We are excited to say that one of our long term riders Lindsay Howe has snatched him up and is now leasing him!! This is her first lease horse and she is REALLY excited for what this summer will bring!
Did I mention my exciting news? I own my beautiful horse Starlit Skies!!! It is official (has been for a little while actually). We are also having a great time. Working on our jumping AND barrel riding. She really likes the turns of barrel racing and we have been having a blast with it. She loves loves loves to jump too so has been broadening my horizons with that. We plan on competing in an Elementary level event and then later in the summer in a Beginner Novice event. I think we are attending Hitching Post (schooling) and the UNH event. I am really excited. Plus she loves my dogs so its great
I know I posted that Delaney bought Lily (which is still exciting for her) and while it isn’t NEW it is still exciting every day to Sierra that Cisco the little pony is actually hers. I say “little pony” but he is LIGHTNING at any speed game you stick him to so yeah wow, look out for that pair this year!
We are all gearing up on the farm for the first show in our show series that is on May 30th. We hosted the leader show on May 9th that was QUITE a cold day but major congrats to all who came! Yes there was snow and cold but there was lots of fun too.
Head over to Jonathan’s site, http://jswoolf.smugmug.com/ for photos from that event! He also has photos of Jennifer at the Oak Rise show from earlier in April. She rode Bonita and my horse Starlit (won four dollars on Starlit!!! WOW and WOOHOOO.. plus more money and honors on her other horses. I am sure you are not surprised that the four dollars was pretty exciting to me hehe). Anyways, so yeah, lots of awesome photos from him!
What else is new on the farm… not sure, and now its time for lights out. Gotta be at the barn early tomorrow
Hope all are well and all ponies are excellent

Don’t forget that the 4-H Leader show is coming up this weekend!
I myself am getting quite excited for it. It’s looking like it might be a little brisk but still beautiful!
Is your horse ready? Are you ready?
“Most [horse show] exhibitors who win consistently aren’t the last-minute type.” –Josh Quintus, Horse & Rider May ‘10
Hope to see you then!
