Excitement, even in the dead of winter.
Steeldust farm is constantly working on improving things for their riders. Though some days may be so frigid you think you will never ride again, as long as it is not terribly cold, the arena has stayed in good shape for lessons. Keep that in mind for those beautiful 40 degree days this winter! Once you start riding you will warm right up!
In May, there will be a Leadership Show to benefit the 4-H scholarship program. It should be the first show of the year and it will be fun to see everyone after this winter finally lets up its grasp.
If you come to the farm, you will see some new faces as we get some new horses to prep for the 2009 riding season. The old favorites will always stay with us, but there will be some new boys to add some variety.
And remember, as always, if you are looking to find that perfect mount, Jennifer has some excellent horses for sale at the farm and she can work with you to find other horses for you. It is best to work with someone who knows your riding abilities and preferences so that you don’t get a horse above or below your own abilities. A horse can be a best friend as well as a substantial investment, make sure it is good for you AND the horse!
If you have any winter photos of you and your horse, send them over. We are thinking of making a photo page here on the site for all the Steeldust riders out there.
Happy New Year from all at Steeldust Farm to you and yours!!!
