An amazing quote..
“Even when your horse is gone they still live in your heart forever, and when it is time for you to be sent home to them, you will find that special horse again.”

I know there have been some really hot days, but still, what an amazing summer we are having!
In addition to great rides and great lessons and great times, we had the 4-H State Horse Show last weekend!
Representing Grafton County and the Pemi-Valley 4-H River Riders were Jen Daniels, Delaney Chabot, Sierra James and Lindsay Howe.
The 4-H shows are set up the same as regular shows. They use the Danish points system, so a perfect is a Purple not a blue. A little different.
They all had to take the quiz and do judging Friday night and Saturday they did their equitation. In addition to showmanship and equitation, they each pick 2 more classes, for a total of 4 classes. Jen did pleasure and trail and the other 3 girls did pleasure and hunter under saddle.
Here is a photo of the girls on Saturday. Part of the show is riding, and another part is stable management. They have to keep their stalls and barn clean during the entire weekend. Part of the fun is decoration as well
Congrats girls on a great weekend!

What do you think of the new look? We don’t have any new summer photos of the barn or good panoramic horse photos yet, but you can never go wrong with white puffy clouds on a blue sky day!!!
